There was a time when I was simply trying to find a moment of quiet.
Life was full—raising two children, working, and moving from one responsibility to the next. In the middle of that, I felt the need to return to something steady. Something that allowed me to slow down and work with my hands.
Candle making came back first. It was familiar, something I had done before, but this time it carried a different weight. It became less about the finished product and more about the process—measured, patient, intentional.
Around that same time, the name A Handful of Herbs came to me clearly. I didn’t fully understand it then, but I held onto it.
Over time, what began as a way to unwind started to take shape into something more purposeful. I began to see the value in simplicity—in working with what is already provided, in not rushing the process, and in creating from a place of peace rather than pressure.
What I didn’t fully recognize at the beginning was how much I was being guided.
God has a way of ordering steps quietly. What feels small in the moment often carries more weight than we realize. This work, in its own way, has been part of that process for me.
The Handful Collective is not built on excess or urgency. It is built on care, consistency, and a willingness to grow over time.
If you’re here, I hope you find something that allows you to slow down, even if just for a moment.
